Background of the organization

Organizational Background:

MANUS was founded by a group of social development professionals committed to advancing women’s rights, livelihood security, and youth employability in rural Bangladesh. Over the past decade, MANUS has implemented multiple community-based projects focusing on:

• Vocational and skills training for unemployed women and youth

• Small business and entrepreneurship development

• Garment and tailoring training centers for income generation

• Making detergent powder, dish wash bar, toilet cleaner, floor cleaner, hand wash, dish wash liquid, etc.

• Advocacy for gender equality and women’s empowerment

• Reintegration and rehabilitation support for vulnerable women groups

The organization currently runs several training and production units in Dhaka,Madaripur and Bhola districts, providing practical hands-on training and linkages with local markets.
